Ligpo Deep

mor divers trained in deeper and technical profiles, Ligpo Deep offers one of Anilao’s most thrilling experiences. Descending along the outer wall past the recreational limits, you’ll find a wide ridge stretching out into the blue. The top starts around 30 meters, gradually sloping to 50 meters and beyond — an expansive terrain that seems to go on forever.

This ridge is best explored using a DPV (scooter). With one, you can easily cover the full length of the structure, weaving between coral heads and sea fans that grow larger and more dramatic with depth. Without one, the distance can be deceptive — a reminder of just how vast this underwater formation truly is.

The marine life here is a diver’s dream. Large blacktip and whitetip reef sharks patrol the deeper edge, while eagle rays glide gracefully above the ridge. Schools of giant trevally, rainbow runners, and fusiliers flash in and out of view, often followed by barracuda cruising in formation.

Because of the depth and distance, Ligpo Deep demands careful gas planning, awareness, and proper decompression procedures. After completing your deep exploration, ascend along the wall where the terrain shallows out — often finishing your deco stops surrounded by clouds of anthias and schooling reef fish from recreational Ligpo 

Together, the two sites form one of Anilao’s best tech dive combinations — deep, dynamic, and unforgettable.
