TDI ADVANCED NITROX + DECO PROCEDURES / HELITROX
Why Anilao?
Serious Depth, Serious Terrain
Anilao gives you real technical training environments: sheer walls, deep slopes, and iconic sites like Mapating Cave, all within easy reach of shore.
Conditions That Build Real Skill
Calm days give you perfect practice windows, while occasional rougher weather teaches planning, adaptability, and true dive-team discipline — exactly what tech divers need.
Pelagics, Reefs & Real Adventure
From reef sharks to schooling jacks and dramatic underwater topography, Anilao delivers the sense of scale and exploration that makes technical diving worth it.
WHY CHOOSE BLUE RIBBON?
Tech Done Right
We’re a TDI 5 Star facility with instructors who specialize in technical diving — shutdowns, valve drills, team protocols, emergency handling, deco planning, and precise in-water control.
Pro-Level Support & Gear
Booster fills, stage/deco cylinders, sidemount/backmount support, oxygen, and top-tier gas blending — everything is on-site and ready.
Earn Your Certification — Not Given
Training is performance-based, not time-based. You finish when you meet the standard, with instructors who push you to be safe, capable, and confident.
What You Learn
Advanced Nitrox Skills
Use nitrox mixes up to 100% oxygen, manage higher PO₂ limits safely, and perform staged decompression with O₂-rich gases.
Decompression Procedures / Helitrox
Plan and execute decompression dives to 45m using proper deco gases, ascent profiles, and helium-based mixes (if taking Helitrox).
Gas Planning & Team Protocols
Rock-solid gas calculations, rule-of-thirds, team positioning, lost-gas strategies, emergency protocols, and controlled ascents.
Real Technical Diving Techniques
Stage handling, bottle rotations, gas switches, buoyancy under task load, long-hose work, situational awareness, and bailout-level discipline.
Course Structure
Before You Arrive – TDI eLearning
Complete the TDI eLearning in advance so you understand the concepts when you arrive. This maximizes water time and minimizes classroom confusion
Days 1–2: Advanced Nitrox + Skill Development
Buoyancy refinement, valve shutdowns, bottle handling, simulated gas switches, team drills, and full equipment mastery before we add deco.2 Days
Day 3: Simulated Deco Dives
Run full ascent profiles with mock gas switches, stops, and timing — perfecting precision, pacing, and teamwork without actual decompression obligations.
Day 4: Real Decompression Dives
Two planned deco dives using Nitrox or Helitrox as appropriate, executed exactly to plan — with full briefings, gas planning, ascent strategy, and video debriefs after every session.
Video Debriefs (Including Underwater Playback)
We film your skill sessions, review them in detail, and even show footage during the dive using our Divevolk housing — allowing immediate correction and faster progression.
Course Prerequisites
SDI Advanced Diver or equivalent
SDI Rescue Diver or equivalent
Intro to Tech or Sidemount (strongly recommended)
At least 25 logged dives
Demonstrate buoyancy and basic gear handling control
You need to complete a Medical Form to make sure you are safe for diving, please review it prior to your course
