Blue Ribbon Eel

Check out this beautiful example of our namesake, the Blue Ribbon Eel. The juvenile and sub-adult males are jet black with a yellow dorsal fin and then turn blue when reaching maturity. This is the first time we were lucky enough to catch one making the transition in colour. We found this guy and a fully blue one at the Sabang Point dive site. Very cool to see 🙂
