Ironically, Secret Bay is probably the most famous dive site in Anilao for muck diving, and has everything a budding underwater photographer or videographer could ask for.
So many types of Nudibranch, crustaceans, cephalopods and more, all in a calm bay, mostly at very shallow depths (5-10m).
- Depth – 5m to 20m
- Travel Time – 30 minutes

Bubbles, very close to Mainit point aka secret bay, is a great beginner dive site with bubbles and hot water coming out the ground in shallow water. The bubble area is located in very shallow water, at a depth of about 5m.
The wall is located around 30m swim from the bubbles, which is around 15-20m at the top of the wall. The wall goes deep to over 40m at its deepest point.
There is an abundance of life deep and shallow, but the Macro Photographers will love it up shallow as there is a lot of critters to be found in the shallows. The dive site is very close to Secret Bay, the famous muck diving site.
- Depth – 5m to 30m
- Travel Time – 30 minutes

Jon’s new project for the soon-to-launch Blue Ribbon Dive Resort Anilao:
make a video for every dive site….one done….no idea how many left. Might take me a year or two 🙂
This is Daryl Laut, an ex Casino Barge that I think if I am correct, got sunk for insurance purposes when it failed to make any money. Need to research it a bit more, but for now, enjoy the video!

Greetings from Blue Ribbon Anilao.
So many things going on in so many places! Parking area is being worked on at the moment, along with the main building that has had its roof and walls ‘refreshed’. Pool has been cleaned ready for the new filter pump system.
We will be using an ionizer to keep chlorine levels down, so that mask removals will not melt your face, like in our old pool in Puerto Galera.
Camera room is getting there, and the Diveshop is on the way also. Still a lot to do but still aiming for mid august to open up 4-6 of our rooms.
Stay tuned…hopefully have some finished areas within the next two weeks, namely the diveshop, camera room and pool.
